Quality control System

FLAG-APEX Quality control System is based on AQL 2.5

GOALS:
  • Ensure quality meets Buyer expectations for quality as defined in the specification, approved pre-production sample and other Buyer instruction
  • Prevent or minimize losses from repairs, fabric and trims waste, and quality claims
METHODS:
  • FLAG-APEX Technicians and QC staff educate and train factory technical staff in making the garments with the required quality in the preproduction phase.
  • FLAG-APEX QC staff review quality checks by the factory of incoming fabrics and trims and do own quality checks if necessary; does daily quality control checks in all steps of production.
  • Process control and mistakes are personalized and documented.
  • Process control is accompanied by immediate instructions for corrective actions, and their implementation is reviewed.
Stage: Flag-Apex QC staff will:
1.Piece-Goods Quality Checking:
  • Make sure factory does 10 % inspection of in-coming fabrics for visual defects, as well as roll length and width, shrinkage.
  • In case inspection shows defects above accepted level – 20% inspection is done.
  • In case defects prove to exceed acceptable level – 100% inspection is required.
  • Send photos or samples of visual defects to the buyer to verify which defects will be accepted and which will be rejected. In case of disputes with fabric mill, Flag-Apex will act as a mediator and will facilitate negotiations.
  • Initiate and instruct the factory on corrective actions on avoiding and cutting out defects.
2.Cutting Department Quality Control:
  • Supervise making a size set of garments and measurements will be taken to assure these will meet the specification.
  • Review the markers to make sure the lay out is correct and will measure the patters to make sure measurements will be met.
  • Make sure number of layers does not exceed the maximum allowable and planned yield is not exceeded.
  • Make sure specific instructions for cutting of delicate fabrics are followed by factory.
  • Provide advice on corrective actions and will follow up on these.
3.Inline Quality Control:
  • Make sure operators know the requirements and all machines are regulated.
  • Provide in-line control for all operations as per sampling plan and will document the findings. Instructions on corrective actions will be provided to operators and management.
  • Provide instructions for handling rejected bundles.
  • Keep records for each Operator until the final audit has been completed.
4.Final Statistical Auditing:
  • Conduct final audit by selecting at random at least 10%-30% of garments from each lot according to statistical sampling plan to verify these meet client’s specifications.
  • Verify merchandise to contract; verify accuracy in labeling.
  • Inspect visually for quality defects.
  • Check for size problems as per Sizing work sheet.
  • Reject and returned for repair and follow-up re-inspection the lots that have not passed the audit.
  • Lots with acceptable quality level are released for shipment and Inspection Report is signed by Flag-Apex technician.
